Then maybe you are exactly right at Dreadlocks-Artesanal!
Who are we:
We have been making and repairing dreadlocks in Zurich and the surrounding area since 2008. We have customers from all over Switzerland and neighboring countries. We stand for quality and efficiency. The satisfaction of our customers is very important to us. Over the years we have made a name for ourselves when it comes to dreadlocks.
Our team consists of several members. For some of us, major life changes are coming. To ensure that we can continue to serve our customers in a timely manner, we are looking for reinforcements.
Who are you?
You should be on the dreadlocks journey yourself. That is, you have or have had dreadlocks yourself for at least 3 years. You may bring some initial experience in making and repairing dreadlocks yourself, but this is not a requirement. A certain artistic inclination and dexterity are required. You also like to take photos and know your way around popular social media. Punctuality, a certain maturity and professionalism are very important for us.
You are at least 20 years old and an affable, reliable and self-confident personality. In addition, you have otherwise already gained experience in the working world.
You are willing to work evenings and Saturdays in Zurich. You have about 20-30 hours a month to do dreadlocks and repairs.
Patience and perseverance are a must. Often we have to/can crochet for many hours at a stretch. The hands and back must be able to cope with this.
The tasks in the Dreadlocks Artesanal team also include social marketing, updating the homepage, administration and customer support, e.g. answering emails.
You are expected to live in Zurich (or surrounding area) for the next 5-7 years and are available to actively help out for that period of time. It’s okay if you’re sometimes not present or busy, such as when you’re traveling.
Nevertheless, since we invest time in you, we must also have the certainty that you will then also help out for a few years.
In addition, your English skills should be at least B1. Likewise, you should be science-friendly. We do not want conspiracy theorists in our ranks.
What we offer you:
Working as a dreadlocks artist at Dreadlocks-Artesanal means you have the freedom to work independently for a good wage.
We offer you an “apprenticeship” as a dreadlock stylist:in. Over a long period of time we will train you to meet the quality requirements of Dreadlocks-Artesanal.
You would initially participate as an assistant:in. Your work location would be mainly in Zurich, possibly also at other locations of experienced members, such as Basel or Weinfelden. Work hours would be primarily on Saturdays and during the week in the evenings. This means we expect time flexibility and commitment.
It should not be a problem for you to receive an apprentice wage at the beginning. As experience is gained, this will increase.
With time, you may also get the opportunity to independently receive clients at your home under the name Dreadlocks-Artesanal. However, this will take time, as quality, your expertise, and your work rate must develop first. Likewise, you should have the infrastructure at your home to be able to receive and serve customers accordingly.
